Arty Wright

Arty Wright is the pseudonym fro one of New Zealand’s most experienced printmakers.

Having worked in the commercial world for over fifty years producing screenprinting of the highest quality and in the latter years working with recognised New Zealand artists: Walters, Hanly, Smither, Frizzell and Palmer to name a few, Arty has put his thoughts and experience to produce this unique series of screenprints.

The Trademark Series brings to the public at large a glimpse of New Zealand nearly forgotten.

The images on this series of prints date back over fifty years or more. The designs used on our manufactured goods were drawn by artists with pencil, pen, brush and ink, the artists themselves largely remained anonymous, working either as employees of advertising companies or within the manufacturing company itself.

Arty, like the original artist, likes to remain anonymous but salutes their bygone skills by producing this limited edition of screenprints.
